in grief the internal world shatters
a whole apple half eaten
bits fall down and get torn up,
wet sodden or drowned. your bone
is in the wall
this sofa (sit down on it and puffs of skin dust rise up catching in the sunlight - sparkles from the angels' sneezes)
all the moths came.
it was summer. flying out of your clothes, your bedding.
we held hands and inside I cried. someone told us that the trees who host the most plants are the healthiest.
will I host you when you’re gone
